KB3022345 causes error in sfc.exe

After installation of optional update KB3022345, executing sfc.exe /scannow throws the following result message (see attached screenshot):

I can reproduce this on three different machines, all Win 8.1, all fully patched, they are a mix of 64 and 32 bit systems.

The error disappears on all my machines when I uninstall the KB3022345 update.

Thank you for responding.

I appreciate you are trying to help me, but as I said in my opening post I 'fixed' this by uninstalling an optional update.

As this occurred on three different machines and could be corrected on all  machines by uninstalling this update my guess would be there is something wrong with the update.

    If you decide to reinstall this update I can create an easy fix to repair these files for you.

    Over the past few days I have seen a trend with this update (KB3022345) causing two files to become corrupt:

    amd64_microsoft-windows-u..ed-telemetry-client_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.17747_none_90df8130dac08ee0\telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json

    Select Start, Control Panel, Programs and Features, View Installed Updates. Place cursor on update, right click and select Uninstall.

    Thanks for thinking with me Gerry.

    On my tablet (did not check the other machines yet) both KB2919355 and KB3045999 installed without problems.

    I have the habit of installing most updates without much thought as it usually works out OK and they may solve some occasional glitches.

    This time I obviously was wrong......

    As KB3022345 is indeed an optional hotfix I will just leave it alone.

    Hopefully one of the Microsoft engineers will pick this up.

    In the meantime users with similar sfc problems may stumble over this topic and perhaps find this helpful.
