I don't want to upgrade to Win 10 (from Win7) just yet but when I run Windows Update, the Windows 10 upgrade starts. I can see there are many Win7 updates waiting too but cancelling the Win10 upgrade means no other updates get installed. I've uninstalled KB2990214 and have rerun Windows Update (as suggested in other threads) but starting Windows Update still starts the upgrade.
Is there any way to totally remove the Win10 upgrade so I can do the rest of the Win7 updates? When I look at updates I've hidden, I can see "Upgrade to Windows 10 Home" and it's not selected. Thanks in advance!

2015-09-09T01:17:34+00:00 I will try one more time. This is severe and take a lot of time and work. If you will tell me your computer make and model, I will direct you on how to restore your computer to its original factory configuration. There is a hidden partition on your computer (assuming the hard drive has not been replace and it is not an SSD). That partition contains a precise image of what was on your computer when you turned it on for the first time.
This is severe because it erases the entire disk. All data, all programs, Windows too.
The benefit of it is that it gives you a fresh start and you do not need a Windows 7 disk or an activation code.
Tell me the make and model and I will find out how to access this facility.

2015-09-09T01:02:51+00:00 One last reply too : You use pretty harsh words Canadian Tech, I deleted the Temp Installation File, the only one on my computer and it was 71 Gigabytes as I have never cleaned my disc. So nothing happened the darn Win10 is creeping all around still.
I really hate Microsoft and all of the things that they say we have to have and will just really love.
Baloney, they should leave well enough alone.
If I could afford and I could find a good computer tech then I would think about having things changed but I am going to live with all this nonsense till the computer falls apart. This is from an 80 year old woman who is not stupid at all!

I have tried all of the above and still it tries to install WIN 10 even thou it is NOT listed!
In the Windows Update list!
Frustrated! as I downloaded WIN 10 before and I had LOTS OF PROBLEMS and I am going to wait.
Until THEY FIX IT, maybe 2 YEARS!
