Endless Corrupt Files and Troubleshooting.

Yesterday my SFC /Scannow command, run from Powershell Admin found corrupt files it was unable to fix. I expected The Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth command to take care of it. Instead it reported "error 0x800f0906" and said it lacked the files to repair the problem.
I looked up error 0x800f0906 in a Dism command. It suggested a repair that started and stopped services, a
net stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution
ren Download Download.old
net start wuauserv
net stop bits
net start bits
net stop cryptsvc
cd %systemroot%\system32
ren catroot2 catroot2old
net start cryptsvc
It also suggested Windows Update was malfunctioning and that I should fix it from The Troubleshooting screen. I did, and SFC /Scannow came up clean and Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth reported error code 0x800f081f instead.
I then used The Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup and The Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase Commands. I then used The Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth Command and it reported "No component store corruption detected." I thought I was in the clear, but Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth keeps reporting it found and repaired files and The Troubleshooter keeps reporting it's fixed problems in Windows Update. Probably not the biggest deal in the Windows world but a little unsettling.

2015-06-09T18:40:14+00:00 My "series of unfortunate events" has mainly been this: since last week The DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth run from powershell and command prompt (both Admin) keeps finding corrupt files, but repairing them. Two days ago I tried to correct the problem by running AVG System Utilities 2014 in Safe Mode With Networking. I crashed and I uninstalled it. When I turned the computer back on, it stayed at a black screen and would not sign-in. I was able to get to the Recovery screens from The Bios, and fixed the problem with a System Restore. Since then, powershell has crashed within a split second of opening. I tried to open it from Command Prompt, but just got a message I noted above. My sign-in time increased to three minutes. My fan has been running and my CPU use varies, sometimes great. I then used Windows Administative Tools, Iobit System Care Ultimate and Wise Care 365 to clean and defragment my system. All the problems remained. I then used DISM.exe /Online /Clenup-Image /RestoreHealth ten times in a row, then ten times in a row from Safe Mode With Networking. It still found corrupt files every time. I then used SFC /Scannow from The Recovery Command prompt 10 times, along with clean boots. It still always found corrupt files, but temporarily brought my boot time back to normal. I then used those utilities again and restarted. The computer rebooted slowly and reported Windows Updates needed to be installed. The updates failed and I tried to fix Windows Update from Troubleshoot and Microsoftt Fix-it. They would not run. I rebooted again and updates installed. I shut the computer off and sign-in time improved considerably. At this time, sign-in and reboot time is improving quite a bit. Troubleshooter and Microsoft Fix-it Update fixer still won't run. Powershell crashes but Command Prompt does most of the same. The commands still always find problems they fix. The fan turns off and on and The CPU usage fluxuates quite a bit.

2015-06-09T19:14:48+00:00 Although the boot times have returned to normal, the computer now first sign into the apps screen first and a Windows Command Box pops up. If you hit yes, it doesn't slow the sign-in.

Has a Norton application or a McAfee application EVER been installed on the computer since you bought it?
Did a Norton free-trial or a McAfee free-trial [pick one] come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it? (Doesn't matter if you never used or Activated it.)
