Endless Corrupt Files and Troubleshooting.

Yesterday my SFC /Scannow command, run from Powershell Admin found corrupt files it was unable to fix.  I expected The Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth command to take care of it.  Instead it reported "error 0x800f0906" and said it lacked the files to repair the problem. 

I looked up error 0x800f0906 in a Dism command.  It suggested a repair that started and stopped services, a

net stop wuauserv

cd %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution

ren Download Download.old

net start wuauserv

net stop bits

net start bits

net stop cryptsvc

cd %systemroot%\system32

ren catroot2 catroot2old

net start cryptsvc

It also suggested Windows Update was malfunctioning and that I should fix it from The Troubleshooting screen.  I did, and SFC /Scannow came up clean and Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth reported error code 0x800f081f instead.

I then used The Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup and The Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase Commands.  I then used The Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth Command and it reported "No component store corruption detected."  I thought I was in the clear, but  Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth keeps reporting it found and repaired files and The Troubleshooter keeps reporting it's fixed problems in Windows Update.  Probably not the biggest deal in the Windows world but a little unsettling.

    Hi again, all!  My computer crashed three days ago, and I thought it was the end of the world when no Windows Re-Install Media worked at all.  Then The great people at Microsoft Telephone Technical Support (1-800-936-5700) told me about The Windows Installation Media Creation Tool!  Nothing works like it, even a factory Re-Install Disk!  It can be had at  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media.  Just press the purple box link and go!

    So far, my computer still finds constant corrupt files it repairs at The Recovery Features' Command Prompt X: feature.  The bootrec and bootsect functions worked perfectly there though.  Recovery Features' Command Prompt X: may be "out in Siberia" when it comes to considerable computer maintenance.  I used to be able to get Startup repair to work for about five minutes.  Now it gives up repairing The Startup after only a second or two. 

    The Dism commands don't find any trouble anymore!  The above problems seem to be the only ones now.

    Why use ASC. And if you did a refresh  your viruses should be gone. Iperfer to use Kaspersky and Malware after a refresh. If you still have corrupt files,whichI don't understand, do a complete system recovery. Also dont download unless you know and trust the site. With malware it will stop you and give you a chance to reconsider,Don't they are right.

    One more thing do not defrag a Sata drive with any utility unless it is made to defrag Sata

    sfc /SCANNOW find corrupt files in the Command Prompt X: option in recovery mode.

    What does it mean?  File checker found something on the X: disk. And what is the X? How to interpret this result? I think it always will be wrong.  It is not what we need.

    I used Get-Content -path  'C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log' -Tail 100 | select-string ("telemetry.ASM", "utc.app.json") | Format-Table |  out-file -NoClobber "$env:USERPROFILE\Desktop\checklog-to-community-forum.txt" on a Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth scan log and got an empty file.    Was I doing it much right

     But you have to run script after the filechecker "SFC" scanning.

     I've had to refresh it again.

    Nothing to do with  "DISM" or "SFC". Install updates from "Windows Update" now  and don't install "destroying" programs
