Patch Tuesday: Microsoft Admits Problem with MS15-032, Plans to Investigate
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
KB3038314 which was recently deployed by Windows update refuses to install. This is a 64 bit Win 7 Pro machine running IE 11. I've tried both the Windows Update web install method and downloading the update separately and both methods fail. The update is part of MS15-032 released on April 14 (Patch Tuesday). Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution? After the update fails there is a failure code of 80092004 displayed and a message that says "Windows Update encountered an unknown error. I have tried the Microsoft Fixit Tool and uninstalling IE 11 and reinstalling. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

By the way. If I install IE11 (from IE8) before installing KB3038314 ... IE shows under version info KB3038314, too, although it is neither in the history nor in the system control under programs / installed updates.
This is because the Internet Explorer installer downloads updates for IE automatically. And since they are not installed through Windows Update, the updated version can only be uninstalled by uninstalling IE itself.
Anyone who has already installed IE11 w/ KB3038314 and gets the error:
Hi, everybody!
Try to remove everything third-party brazer, dump the IE parameters by default as kb3038314 forbids installation of third-party searchers.
Sorry, for machine translation.
What is "brazer"?
Sorry, on machine translation it turned out so.

Hi here is the fix for this issue ...
Just uninstall the IE 11 and install update .... as shown in video. hope it will help ;) ... please like if this help you ;)
I tried your method but it didn't work.
The method of the video did not work for me, too. (I experienced the problem also at the procedure of a clean install)
The only way that helped me was the chronological install of updates. First I installed all 2013 updates. Then I installed 2014 updates (Without IE11, IE10 and IE9), but staying with IE8.
After that I installed the KB3038314 manually for IE8 (links for IE8 x86 or x64 OS can be found in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS15-032).
Then before installing 2015 updates, I installed only IE11 update. At the end I installed the remaining updates.
But - of course - this is only solution at a clean install
