PC games not in fullscreen in Windows 10

I still having this problem my graphic drive is this.i try to play farcry3,4   blackops1,2   GTA5 and some other games.I found that old graphic drives that I received with drive cd of motherboard fix this problem.but when i connect my PC to the internet it automatically updated to the last version that having bugs.i hope you guys fix this soon

Would recommend you either:

A.) Turn off windows automatic driver downloads. Then reinstall the drivers from your CD and windows shouldn't overwrite them when you connect to the internet. I think the option should be in the windows update settings area, but may be wrong.

B.) Update your Intel drivers via their website, or go into device manager. Then system devices, and manually check for updates on each item in the list (right click and update).

Is this issue specific to this particular game only? If yes, in which game is this bahaviour noticed?

This issue could occur if the your playing a game at a different resolution than the desktop resolution. I owuld suggest you to se the resolution for both as the same and then check if the issue persists. If the issue persits, I owuld suggest you to install the drivers from the manufacturer's website in comatibility mode. Try these steps and let us know the results.

First post, so hopefully it helps somebody 😁 

Had similar issues trying to get games to run at the correct refresh rate in 4096x2160 two things I've found helped me were:

1.) Alt + Enter is a keyboard shortcut to swap applications between full screen and windowed mode. Works wonders as windows 10 often starts games in windowed full-screen mode without you noticing (think it's something to do with virtual desktops) which tends to hinder performance! 

2.) In the windows 10 settings (not control panel) there are options to snap a window when it's dragged to the edge of your screen. I think they're on by default. I've found it to create a small invisible border at the edge of the window, which some apps / games don't recognise properly and think your resolution is a pixel smaller than it actually is, forcing the windowed mode issue. Turn all of these off (along with the tablet mode settings - if you're running on a desktop PC).

Samsung Magician caused Battlefront and Battlefield 4 to be unplayable in full screen and borderless with Windows 10.

Exited the program (running in background) and poof all good.

I thought this problem was related to the Steam app with older games.But then i downloaded Meda Drive classsics game Columns III from Steam and it plays in full screen mode.This game ran on old tv format of 4.3 and was released in the mid 90s.So the paper trail comes back to Windows 10...am not suprised it was a free upgrade cant even go back to Windows 8.1 as my system had 10 built in.

So if a game almost 20 years old can play in full screen why cant games from 2000s run also....there is only one thing to say and thats Arrgghhhhhhhh!!!
