PC games not in fullscreen in Windows 10

Back on Windows 7, glorious wide screen panoramic vision & sound. Note to all, especially Microsoft, it's not our job to search for answers to these cockup releases. We paid good money for our computers & OS, you come along screw it all up with your vision ( more money ads ). Then land us with a EULA for free, that means you accept no responsibility for any mistakes you make that impact the user.  Furthermore you are legally entitled to take control  of all updates / upgrades to any users computer, basically you will own that computer. NSA & GCHQ never thought of that, or did they :-)

The problem is the older games do not have a full range of graphics settings. I've played the likes of the original Diablo & Heretic 2 on Windows 7 full screen HDTV. The AMD catalyst control centre allows you to select full screen, and enable the GPU to fit any game setting into that. But it doesn't work with Windows 10, even using Steam game server it's just a panel in the centre of the screen. As I said before it looks more like a phone screen than a wide screen. If we're to get mandatory automatic updates from now on then I'll stick with Windows 7, until they fix all this and let us transfer our settings as well as files.

In settings of respective games there is an option of screen type.

I have my games options to play in Full

Screen mode and they are all now in Window mode and I cannot change them. Difficult for me to see and play and if there is no answer it is back to W7.

Ok, I reverted my laptop back to windows 8.1 and I'll keep using that until the problem is fixed. Please reply when the problem with games not going into fullscreen when not in 1920x1080 is fixed so I can get back to Windows 10.
