Windows update KB3004394 issues

Windows update KB3004394  causes the following issues on my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system:

All MMC functions (Event Viewer, etc.) now require Administrator action, although in an Administrator account.

Windows Defender service will not start

The Windows Defender Service Terminated with the following error

%%-2147023113

Removing it  returns the system to normal.

Anyone else experience this?

    I want to but can't uninstall KB3004394 and install KB3024777. If anyone knows how to solve it?

    I need to know exactly the messages you are seeing that leads you to believe that you can't remove KB3004394 and you can't install KB3024777?

    Error messages?

    But that's the point of KB3024777.  It removes 3004394.  There isn't a new version yet of KB3004394.

    "The KB 3004394 update that was dated December 10, 2014 can cause additional problems on computers that are running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. This includes the inability to install future updates. This new update is available to remove KB 3004394 from your computer."

    Given those side effects, given we are at 23 pages and counting, given that KB302477 is set up in such a way that it cannot be unchecked, given that the name of KB302477 in the file properties is "fixbrokenupdate.exe" why in the world would you want to keep it on your machine?  How about giving me a reason to keep it on your machine given that Microsoft really wants you by it's own action and the check box to remove it?

    I also  had  this   issue        kb3004394    was preventing    future   updates    PC World      has  given me  the   solution    they   say      windows 7  users uninstall    this       update    I asked  Microsoft      their  answer  was     skip  3004394   but   I  had   removed   it    already   I    had   only  an important update failed  error

    Let's not labour this point. 'If it's fixed, don't break it'. If I find at some stage in the future that I'm having problems, like not being able to install updates, I can always remove KB3004394. I cannot penetrate the logic that says if you're having a problem with not being able to install updates, install this update to solve it. This isn't the first time that MS react in this way.

    I'll take a small wager that only those with one or more third-party browsers installed have trouble with this update, and that those who don't have trouble are true-blue IE users.
