Windows update KB3004394 issues

Windows update KB3004394  causes the following issues on my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system:

All MMC functions (Event Viewer, etc.) now require Administrator action, although in an Administrator account.

Windows Defender service will not start

The Windows Defender Service Terminated with the following error

%%-2147023113

Removing it  returns the system to normal.

Anyone else experience this?

    Can not do restore either. Real bad

    Are you SURE you're targeting the right update to uninstall? It may not let you uninstall any update, but this one should be uninstallable.

    If you're feeling lucky, try some of the suggestions you get when you google "manually uninstall kb update", make sure you don't follow any instructions not meant for your version of Windows.

    At the very least, backup your virtual machines ASAP. If you have another system available or can install one, you could use them there for the time being.

    I had problems with this update as well... Even MSE stopped working properly, pauses on one file and never moves.

    So I uninstalled the update and now my PC's are working fine.

    See VirtualBox ticket 13677.

    Looks like the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 updates have been taken down by now from the support website, so updated updates are hopefully on their way.

    Received the following error message

                  C:\Windows\System32\osk.exe

                  A referral was returned from the server.

    Was trying to use the onscreen keyboard.

    Had just performed update to Win7 Pro/SP1 (KB3006625, KB3006121, KB3004394, KB3013410, KB2952664, KB3009736, KB3014406).

    Removing KB3004394 cured this problem.
