Windows update KB3004394 issues

Clearly it seesm that KB3004394 might well be causing problems. Just in case I retested this on my setup (also Win7/Ult/x64) and I still cannot reproduce the symptoms.

I will continue to follow this thread. Clearly my PC might be immune for some reason. Here are my specs, if anyone wants to know anything else about my PC just ask

I had trouble with this update also.  I restored my pc from a back-up, then installed the recent updates one at a time until I narrowed it down to KB 3004394.  To me this basically made windows 7 pro x64 ( my OS) into Windows Vista.  I uninstalled the update and blocked it.  Everything is back to normal.  I don't know what the intention of this update was, I hope Microsoft would shine some light on it with more info.

Just makes me wonder if this was Microsoft's attempt to get people frustrated and get them to move over to Windows 8... I'm just going to keep thinking that this is just a corrupted update.  I don't use Windows Defender at all.  I use Webroot Internet Security Anywhere and Malwarebytes Premium.  So far I have not had any issues with security.  I have faith that Microsoft will find a fix for this update.

Windows update KB3004394 causes also problems with the troubleshooting of networking. This means that you are not able to repair a broken network connection. After removal of  KB3004394 my system works.

kb3004394 Caused the new AMD driver 14.12 (Omega) to not install correctly. Please resolve this issue.

Win 7 Home Premium x64 SP1

I don't use Windows Defender, but KB3004394 has caused problems for me too, on Win7 Home Premium x64 SP1.

After installing this update (KB3004394) via Windows Update, I can no longer use the Magnifier.exe "Ease of Access" program. Attempting to start it gives an error message "a referral was returned from the server". Removing the update returns the system to normal use.
