Windows update KB3004394 causes the following issues on my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system:
All MMC functions (Event Viewer, etc.) now require Administrator action, although in an Administrator account.
Windows Defender service will not start
The Windows Defender Service Terminated with the following error

Removing it returns the system to normal.
Anyone else experience this?

There's a bug report on Oracle's VirtualBox ticket system that seems to be caused by KB3004394. For some, uninstalling the update resolves the VirtualBox failures.
Nice to know I am not alone!
Hi
I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and KB3004394 was offered as an Important update for me and it installed successfully. It shows as a Recommended update afterwards in View update history. I did restart PC afterwards.
I can open Event Viewer without the need for administrator password on both standard user and administrator accounts. UAC slider is set to default.
Windows Defender service seems to be running for me:
All I can say is mine is optional here.
