Windows update KB3004394 issues

Windows update KB3004394  causes the following issues on my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system:

All MMC functions (Event Viewer, etc.) now require Administrator action, although in an Administrator account.

Windows Defender service will not start

The Windows Defender Service Terminated with the following error

%%-2147023113

Removing it  returns the system to normal.

Anyone else experience this?

    Installing Update KB3024777 failed 4-times. Thw occured a bluescreen and i hat to return to windows the day beforde. Now KB3024777 ist "grewed" and I fear to get a bluescreen again when installing KB3024777 once more. Any advice?

    Sorry for bad English - I'm a "Kraut".

    How did "you" remove it?

    Here is what I tried, when I click on "uninstall" a program (for Windows Updates), the KB3004394 is not in the list there any where, and everyone's computer that I've seen hasn't shown that Update where it can be "Uninstalled?"

    I could use instructions for how to remove it please, since you got it (KB3004394) to remove, please?

    Since installing the update I keep getting a message saying "Address a problem with your smartcard"

    followed by "If your smartcard is working properly,it is safe to ignore this error"

    I did have a couple of other problems,which somehow have stopped.

    This has only happened since installing KB3004394. I tried to follow a link from PC advisor who informed me of the problem, but I cannot delete or remove in any way the problem causing update.

    Comeon Microsoft,........get it together!

    The next time this pops up, click to follow the prompt and go onto to reactivate the computer. 

    I tried this, but the popup still persists.

    You mean you re-activated, but you were still getting pop-ups saying that your copy of Windows was not genuine?

    Did this problem arise after installing KB3024777 or before?

    The next time this pops up, click to follow the prompt and go onto to reactivate the computer. 

    I tried this, but the popup still persists. I think the 3004394 update permanently corrupted one or more of my system files. Interestingly, a system restore for 12/10/14 did not work (after rebooting, a window told me the system restore failed with an unknown error.) But another restore point on 12/7/14 worked.

    I'm keeping my fingers crossed, hoping that the Genuine Windows Notification will go away, now that I managed to do a system restore.

    After I did some reading on other websites, I think I will stop downloading/installing updates labeled "Update for Windows 7". After all, the security updates are far more important, and they seem to be less likely to corrupt my system.

    Thanks for the Christmas present, Microsoft!
