Windows update KB3004394 issues

Windows update KB3004394  causes the following issues on my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system:

All MMC functions (Event Viewer, etc.) now require Administrator action, although in an Administrator account.

Windows Defender service will not start

The Windows Defender Service Terminated with the following error

%%-2147023113

Removing it  returns the system to normal.

Anyone else experience this?

    It was still there 12-10-14 when I did it unfortunately now it is going to harass me to update which slows my computer down.  I have windows 7 HP SP1 64 bit.  I guess I will try cutting off updates and check manually from now on.  We desperately need a fix for this.

    Windows update KB3004394 causes the following issues on my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system:

    Reproducible here.

    Office 2010 Starter didn't like KB3004394 installed either.

    <EDIT>

    KB3004394 (Win7 64-bit) successfully uninstalled here. No more UAC prompts after doing so - and Office 2010 CTR installed one or more updates in the background afterwards.

    KB3004394 was still being offered when I ran a manual check for updates a few minutes later. Did not hide it - but after deleting the contents of **%system%\SoftwareDistribution**Download <=this folder, WU no longer offers KB3004394. So it looks to have been pulled.

    Because they just pulled it a little bit ago off the MU servers.
