Windows update KB3004394 issues

Windows update KB3004394  causes the following issues on my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system:

All MMC functions (Event Viewer, etc.) now require Administrator action, although in an Administrator account.

Windows Defender service will not start

The Windows Defender Service Terminated with the following error

%%-2147023113

Removing it  returns the system to normal.

Anyone else experience this?

    KB3004394 is giving my computer problems with my AMD graphics Drivers, so I'm not able to play any games because they just aren't recognizing that there's a Graphics Card in om computer. It still has the KB3004394 update on it, but it also has the patch update KB3024777 which Microsoft released to fix the problem; but when I go on installed update to uninstall KB3004394 it doesn't show up on the installed list, yet the problems are still persisting. Also neither does the patch update?

    Do you know any reason for this?

    Some users have used System restore to go back to immediately before the December updates and started the updates again. Oh what a mess this single update has caused.

    We have released KB3024777 to address issues that some customers were having with KB3004394.

    KB3004394 now includes this text addressed to W7 users:

    • If you have not yet deployed KB 3004394 on Windows 7 SP1-based ... computers, ...
    • If you have already installed KB 3004394 on Windows 7 SP1-based ... computers that were not restarted after the update was installed,  ...
    • If the installation of KB 3004394 is causing problems on these computers, ...

    None of those scenarios applies to my machine. Nevertheless, I find that KB3024777 is being pushed aggressively by Windows Update. I cannot hide the update until there's some clarity about what's happening, and I have to be careful not to install it on shut-down.

    Is there a risk involved in either not uninstalling KB3004394 or not installing KB3024777?

    It's interesting that for me, everything did not return immediately to normal after removing the faulty patch.  It took about an hour before things that were appearing as failing their signature verification were then accepted as verified.

    Have you fixed the problem on your computer?

    I ask as there is evidence appearing that installing KB3024777 does not resolve all users problems. Some users are using system restore to take the system back to immediately prior to the December updates and reinstalling all updates except KB3004394 and KB3024777. This seems to work as  KB3004394 has been withdrawn and therefore is not offered through Windows Update.
