My old games- spider solitaire, freecell, and mohjong titans.

Hello,

I upgraded from 7 to 10 and now I am missing my games file that had the old games such as spider solitaire, freecell, and mohjong titans.  Is there anyway to get them back other than what is in the app store?

From what I saw on the app store there are around 138 versions of Mohjong Titans, some with low ratings, some with high ratings.  I tried a couple different ones and found them to be covered with advertisements.  I would also like to play without having to be online all the time.

I would appreciate a note of how to get my regular games back on- or on how I can send Microsoft a note of disappointment.

    After finally getting rid of the Microsoft icon asking me to download Windows 10, it's back this morning!  How do I get rid of it for good and not let Windows updates reload it?

    There are some simple registry entries you can put in to get rid of it permanently, but almost every time I have posted them I have been chastised for posting something that people asking are considering too complicated for them. Would you like me to post the registry entries so that maybe you could use them?

    Oh why not...  Someone will complain, but others will just use the reply and be happy that what they asked for is done...

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\GWX]

    "DisableGWX"=dword:00000001

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]

    "DisableOSUpgrade"=dword:00000001

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\OSUpgrade]

    "AllowOSUpgrade"=dword:00000000

    "ReservationsAllowed"=dword:00000000

    Those four entries in 3 places should, after a restart, give you the result you desire.  There's also suggestions about uninstalling updates and hiding them - but this works without worrying over that.

    Just to follow up with this part - if they upgraded, they CAN follow various instructions online (as inferred) and the files they need to copy / modify will still exist on their system.

    Here is a GIF animation of an upgraded machine showing the location of the old files (again, they will not work 'as is' under Windows 10.)

    So as for, "You can't copy something that isn't there." <-- you are correct, but said files are there (for thirty days, the same amount of time they have to rollback.)

    Just wanted to be sure that was clarified.  Might help someone.
