Can't send email, keep getting server error 3219, Windows Live Mail error 0x8DE00005

I just recently started getting this error when using Live Mail synced with my hotmail account

Server Error: 3219

Server: http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync\_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

Looked for solutions online and tried most of the suggestions, but most are several years old and no longer apply since the switch to Outlook.

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

The error codes indicate that this Outlook.com account has been upgraded to the new version. Please sign into the account at http://mail.live.com; you should see something like the Outlook Mail banner shown here in the top left-hand corner of the window:

This means that you can't use DeltaSync to access this account any more, because Outlook Mail is not provisioned for it. You'll find step-by-step instructions for setting up the account to use IMAP instead on this page:

If you sign in in Windows Live Mail with this account, you'll find that the calendar will no longer synchronize.

    IThank you very much. I have read about it but I havent tried the new method because my main account still functions properly.

    ... its a problem together with microsoft Office profesional 2003 outlook and outlook connector which cannot synchronize any more.

    I've been having the same issues...unable to sync suddenly last week, a couple of hotmail accounts in Windows Live Mail.

    The solution for me was removing the accounts, and re-adding them using the instructions in this thread. Worked perfectly for me.
