Can't send email, keep getting server error 3219, Windows Live Mail error 0x8DE00005

I just recently started getting this error when using Live Mail synced with my hotmail account

Server Error: 3219

Server: http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync\_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

Looked for solutions online and tried most of the suggestions, but most are several years old and no longer apply since the switch to Outlook.

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

The error codes indicate that this Outlook.com account has been upgraded to the new version. Please sign into the account at http://mail.live.com; you should see something like the Outlook Mail banner shown here in the top left-hand corner of the window:

This means that you can't use DeltaSync to access this account any more, because Outlook Mail is not provisioned for it. You'll find step-by-step instructions for setting up the account to use IMAP instead on this page:

If you sign in in Windows Live Mail with this account, you'll find that the calendar will no longer synchronize.

    This happen when using Live Mail and Windows 7. Tried restoring to an earlier save point, as well as trying to disable https, as suggested by several results from searching Google.

    More specifically, it seems to happen when I use Live Mail to send/receive mail using through various forum posts like Craigslist. I go to reply, click the email link, a pop up appears with the email ready to send, but when I try to send it, I encounter the error message.

    When you login to your account via www.outlook.com, do you see Outlook Mail (Preview) in the upper left corner like the screenshot Firedog posted?

    I'm having the same issue and yes, my email does say outlook preview when logged into the site.  Any fix?

    OK. You're one of the random few whose account has been migrated to the preview of the new version of Outlook on the Web.

    This means that you can't use DeltaSync to access it (DeltaSync is the default configuration in Windows Live Mail that synchronizes all your folders between client and server). Until a new system is put in place, you could use IMAP instead to give more or less the same experience. You'll find instructions here: Windows Live Mail and Outlook Mail.

    The calendar and contacts list will stop synchronizing as well, if you're signed in with the same account. The contacts list will still be available, but changes to it won't propagate to your new Peoplepage. Any categories you may have set up won't be available online.

    HELP.

    As of mid September Windows Live Mail / Outlook - whatever you call it, stopped emailing scanned documents, or documents created in word processing.....all of this worked fine for 1.5 years.

    Followed the above instructions:  Yes, my mailbox says "Outlook Preview".  Oh joy, I was a lucky random person to be migrated to the preview of the new version of Outlook on the Web.

    So, how do I get outlook working again to send documents?  Just tested it.  It sends email created within outlook, but not documents created outside of outlook.

    Help.  I don't like new things.  Just want to get it working again.
