Can't send email, keep getting server error 3219, Windows Live Mail error 0x8DE00005

I just recently started getting this error when using Live Mail synced with my hotmail account

Server Error: 3219

Server: http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync\_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

Looked for solutions online and tried most of the suggestions, but most are several years old and no longer apply since the switch to Outlook.

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

The error codes indicate that this Outlook.com account has been upgraded to the new version. Please sign into the account at http://mail.live.com; you should see something like the Outlook Mail banner shown here in the top left-hand corner of the window:

This means that you can't use DeltaSync to access this account any more, because Outlook Mail is not provisioned for it. You'll find step-by-step instructions for setting up the account to use IMAP instead on this page:

If you sign in in Windows Live Mail with this account, you'll find that the calendar will no longer synchronize.

The only workaround that I remember is to ensure that Windows Live Mail is running before clicking on any mailto: or Contact us link. Start Windows Live Mail and if your message is not sent straight away, drag it out of the outbox to a drafts folder, then double-click on it and click Send. The outbox is below the account folders in the folder pane.

Now I am getting this

I was using Microsoft Outlook on my computer thur 2016-08-18 23:26 and it worked.

Just now It gives me the error message.

I haven't changed a thing. What did Microsoft change?

I finally tried imap. Yes, it worked, but it has been soooo annoying that it keeps popping up error messages regarding the mail system being slow and something couldn't work or timed out. I got sick of it, so set up all our email accounts in eM Client (we have 5 hotmail accounts + two of my personal email accounts). With eM Client, it is the same, giving out timeout related error messages all the time. Plus the slim scroll bar makes moving around email accounts quite inconvenient and annoying too. Then I tried outlook. Well, with Outlook, everything gets set up automatically and works well. But I am only allowed to set up one microsoft exchange email account, but I have 5 in total! So I can't use Outlook!

I used to like Microsoft. I have been encouraging my two kids to use hotmail all the time, even though they tend to use gmail. The reason for me is I've had sentimental feelings built up with hotmail over the years. But now I realized that Microsoft has become more like google, the way they do things and they have made certain things unnecessarily fancy yet difficult to use. Basically I now no longer favor hotmail over gmail. Why should I?
