Well here is my screen shot. Pardon me for being a bit forward, I am a bit angry with this microsoft trash. I typed what I was given just as it was given to me. STILL I can not access this stupid app store, cant access my apps or do anything. Tries to tell me I am not connected and wants to tell me it is my wireless connection, how funny because I am on wifi right now on same computer having problem with. I don't understand how it can be my connection. I am very angry because I just purchased this stupid tower (4 days old) brand new from best buy and it seems no one from microsoft is available to help me. Hit the contact button for a so called live chat and nothing opens just a confirmation tab noting I sent my compliant but it is a live chat button I clicked. Annoyed! Then I go back to contact us and now I am referred to a forum and my first reply before this one is not even posted because all of sudden the forum froze. Or I read a suggestion at the bottom of the contact us page from microsoft to return my devise to the store where I purchased it from and have them fix it. It is Microsoft Windows problem not the store and frankly I do not feel like driving back 45 mins away to go have this computer looked at. If I am gonna drive back I am gonna shove the tower in a very in appropriate place and tell them to give me my money back. I knew I should of went with Apple, I just knew there would be some problem. Again sorry to be so forward, I am a bit upset at how Microsoft treats their customers.. Any help to get this app store up and running is appreciated. Otherwise I am returning this tower this weekend. Thanks!
Windows 8.1 Store Not working
Yesterday I upgraded to windows 8.1. after installing my programs, I launched the Windows Store, and to my surprise, it said: "We weren't able to connect to the Store. This might have happened because of a server problem or the network connection timed out. please wait a few moments and try again.(0x800072efd)
I googled the error code and visited multiple forums and followed the instructions, and after a few hours, it still said exactly the same. I have tried wsreset.exe, messing around with the firewall, tried refreshing my computer and rebooting multiple times. could anybody please help me with this problem?
sincerely,
Ryan

2014-12-29T16:46:38+00:00 Just to let you know, it didn't give me an error, it just didn't work when i opened the store
That means a redirect was blocked and this time you didn't even get a return code about the blockage. My guess is that something else that you have installed is doing the blocking in both cases. E.g. something preventing outbound requests by "suspected Trojans". Apparently such things are done silently without even any logging so figuring it out may be difficult. One option would be booting in safe mode with Networking and see if you can reproduce your symptom in that environment. Another would be to run ProcMon to try to see if more could be understood about the symptom by seeing what other processes seemed to be involved with it. Unfortunately we can't use ProcMon in safe mode but we can use another tool from the same source, AutoRuns, to see a complete picture of the difference in what is being started in each case.
FWIW what I see when I do the workaround isn't exactly a clean process either. E.g. normally with BING I open results in new tabs. The first time I saw a mix of that and a half switch to the Store (just a green screen). Pressing Alt-Tab returned me to IE in the new tab. Pressing Alt-Tab again returned me to the Store presentation of the same information. Today, just to spite me, it worked differently, e.g. probably the way it was supposed to work--first opening the new tab, then switching to the Store presentation of the same page.
Notice also that we also have the option of using the web page's button View in Windows Store which I guess must somehow be happening automatically when the tab is opened. Then that might suggest another possibility for silent blocking--a popup blocker.
BTW I think that last option shows there may be a few more transitions within the Store app happening too. We would have to think of some way to really slow them down to be sure that we were perceiving them all. E.g. from an IE window in Fullscreen mode I see: it shrink slightly, a new MUF app take its place, apparently the Store, then I don't know what all goes on then as the Store starts filling in its frame and opening the requested page. Failure of any of those transitions could result in your symptom.
