This may happen due to software conflicts.

I would suggest you to perform clean boot and check if it helps.

That patch requires halo to be installed.my problem is that the installer doesn't open.it doesn't show no message of error.when I double click on it ..just nothing happens.

i tried all of d compatibility settings with administrator rights and it still does not open.plz give me other options to make it run .i don't care if they are risky.please

I already posted the solution, if you had read another few posts down you would be playing the game before you even finished writing that post ;) Also, it's not risky at all... not sure why you ask for risky solutions when you can just get it running problem free.

Christer Bostrøm's August 16th suggestion of patch also worked for me.  Also, Halo play seems better under Win 10.  Good luck.
