  • Voice over LTE support enabled for selected operators.
  • Native Wi-Fi calling support enabled for EE  UK and T-Mobile USA.
  • Additional improvements to stability, audio quality, Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity, national roaming, and more.

    Does this mean wifi calling will work on an unlocked (unbranded) Lumia 640 with T-Mobile USA sim card?

    Thanks for your reply. The Product Code for my Lumia 640 ( Model: RM-1072 ) is 059X1Q3.

    Hopefully this information will enable you to check whether or not I will be receiving the latest update.

    in the Software Recovery Tool, what is your 7-letter product code (059…)? No Windows computer or USB: The same code is printed on your phone (underneath the battery cover). That code determines your firmware variant which determines your current version. We can check together whether the update is available for your firmware variant already, only with that code.

    Hi armagon,

    I obtained my Lumia 640 from EE in the UK on 20th May 2015, and it came with Windows Phone 8.1 Update  2 "out of the box" and also featued WiFi calling.

    My current version is 8.10.15145.156 and I currently have no updates available.

    Should I now expect to receive a further update to the latest release  please?
