Video controls are small - How to resize?

I just got a new computer and every video I've watched the video controls (play button, video timeline, expand, etc) are all very small, on every website and on different video players. The video player size is fine, just not the controls. I've tried changing the resolution, it just changes the screen size, doesn't work. IE video controls seem to ok, but Firefox is where the issue is.

Laptop is a HP Envy 14 sleekbook.

    Jacob Taylor showed me how to fix the buttons and controls being too small in vlc for my surface 4, this also works for others programs that are just sized wrong on the surface or other devices in Windows 10.

    1.Click the Start Window

    2.Type the program you want in search

    3.Right Click

    4.Open File Location(in vlc this may be under a submenu)

    5.Right Click

    6.Properties

    7.Compatibility

    1. place a check beside Overide high DPI

    9.may need to down arrow System

    10.Apply

    11.Restart your program

    Same issue here on brand new Dell XPS 15.

    Good luck.  Microsoft does not seem willing to accept that there is a widespread problem with many programs control buttons being too small when using newer computers including Microsoft computers and Microsoft programs.

    I have this problem with my new Microsoft Surface Book with Performance Base.  The problem is more widespread than most people know.  For example, many of the controls for Microsoft Outlook are TOO SMALL.  There is no way to adjust the size of the controls.  You can adjust the size of the text but not the other items.  This scaling problem is present in many different programs including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Media Player, VLC media player and some games from the Microsoft Store.  The tab controls are TOO SMALL in Microsoft Word.  There is no way to increase the size of the tab controls or tab bar.  The magnifier is not a solution to this problem.  Adjusting the resolution and/or scaling does not solve the problem and causes other problems.  I could go on and on with examples.  I have read the entire thread and am very disappointed with the replies by Microsoft so far.  This problem is unacceptable to me.  I am considering getting rid of the computer and switching to a different brand and operating system.  Is there any way to fix this problem?  Is Microsoft planning on fixing this problem properly?
