I get error 800F0922 when installing KB3022345 update.

I've tried it both automatically and manually, and always get the same error.

Some advice about this?

Try this:

  1. Uninstall KB3045999
  2. It will ask you to restart windows, but DON'T RESTART
  3. Install KB3022345
  4. Restart Windows
  5. Install KB3045999
  6. Restart Windows

This worked for me.  Good Luck.

Moderators, where is the Microsoft solution to this issue?

I am getting feed up with Microsoft not testing their updates before they ship them, as I have said before this is the third failure we have had in 6 months because Microsoft has not fully tested the updates in all situations.

They really need to implement a six sigma quality program.

    Regards

GO TO CONTROL PANEL AND CLICK ON ADD A LANGUAGE.

WHEN THE PAGE COMES UP, YOUR LANGUAGE IS AT THE TOP OF THE LIST.

TO THE RIGHT IS AN OPTIONS BUTTON, CLICK IT, AND THEN CLICK ON INSTALL LANGUAGE PACK.

WHEN IT IS DONE, REBOOT AND THEN DO THE UPDATE.

The instructions didn't quite fit with my system as I have the control panel items listed alphabetically rather than by category, and so there is no Add a Language item.  However, there is a Language item, and clicking on it and following the rest of your instructions did allow me to successfully install KB3022345.

I have English (United States) as the top language.

My solution was to add a new language packages in the "Language" in the Control Panel.

Has normal "Swedish" but also installed the language pack for "English / USA".

It does not affect the language of your computer in any way.

Started since the computer, and then there were a further 27 updates, but I chose only this problematic uppdate. It went into all of my 3 computers with no problems (Win 8.1). Before it was impossible.

Since I started the computer again, removed the language pack (English / US) and rebooted.

Everything went perfectly and after running Windows Update as there were no updates available.

    Fixed!

The problem with KB3022345 is language-related, which feels embarrassing for Microsoft.
