I get error 800F0922 when installing KB3022345 update.

I've tried it both automatically and manually, and always get the same error.

Some advice about this?

Try this:

  1. Uninstall KB3045999
  2. It will ask you to restart windows, but DON'T RESTART
  3. Install KB3022345
  4. Restart Windows
  5. Install KB3045999
  6. Restart Windows

This worked for me.  Good Luck.

No, it depends on the kind of view you have by default in your Control Panel.

If instead of selecting "Small icons" or "Large icons" view at the upper right corner of the Control Panel windows, you select "Category" (I suppose this will be the translation into English; my system is in Spanish and it appears as "Categoría") you´ll see the "System and Security" option.

Anyway, you can always access to the "Services" by this other way:

Click on Computer / This computer (shortcut at the desktop of your PC) or Computer icon in the lateral column of Windows browser with secondary buttonof your mouse.

    Click on Manage

Insert your admin password (if you have one in your system).

In the new window that will be opened by the system, go to Services and applications.

If double click, you´ll find inside the "Services" option.

    Regards.

May be you are using a different OS than mine as I am using Win 8.1

Looks like to me that my first KB3022345 never loaded as was expressed as a failed load. Now it appears Microsoft has released another group of KB,s on the 10th I think that including the revamped KB3022345.

All of this group loaded OK.  Thanks Nodrog33 for your info, but your link is different than mine as I do not have a "System & Security" but I do have "administrative Tools" in the control panel and from there I was able to go to "Services" and find my "Diagnostics tracking service" which appears to be normal and running without any messages to say unable to read etc.  May be you are using a different OS than mine as I am using Win 8.1

Cheers all, well I think I am out of here now and thanks all  for the great learning experience.

    William.

Glad to have been of help. We are running the same OS, you didn't see System and Security because your Control Panel view is set to 'icons' rather than 'categories' (top right of the main part of the window).

KB3022345 enables the Diagnostic Tracking Service so the quickest way to verify that it is on your system and whether it is working correctly is to open Control Panel>System and Security>Administrative Tools>Services then scroll down to look for the entry for that service.

If it is there, and it shows a description for the service you have the correct update installed but if the description shows an "Unable to read" error you have the original flawed one. If there is no entry for the diagnostics tracking service then neither update is installed.
