Methods 1 and 2 did nothing.  Method 3 is a stupid suggestion.  I'm not changing my Microsoft account.

How ironic it is that an attempt to help that you characterize as "stupid" says nothing about "changing" your Microsoft account.  Before biting a hand that's attempting to feed you, you might stop to think first, but maybe not.  Could it be that the suggestion to create a new account might be to determine if the problem might be related to your main user account being corrupted, and creating a new account (which has no effect on the main account) might help to narrow down the cause?  Maybe not so stupid?

Point taken.  Perhaps I misunderstood what was suggested.  Anyway, I have since created a new dummy account.  This required a new email address to be setup as well.  Unfortunately this also did not fix the problem.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I can understand Microsoft Solitaire Collection does not load properly. To diagnose the issue, I would suggest you to try the following methods and check if the issue persists.

    Method 1:

Run the apps troubleshooter and check if it helps with the issue. Refer to the following article and run the Apps troubleshooter:

Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps

If the issue still exists, try the next method.

    Method 2:

Try to run a System File Checker (SFC) scan to check for any file corruption. SFC scan will scan for corrupt system files on the computer and repair them.

    1. Press Windows key +      X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
    2. In the Command Prompt,      type the following command, and then press ENTER:

         sfc      /scannow

If the issue still exists, try the next method.

    Method 3:

You may check the same issue with the new user account.

Try these steps to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue. Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and      then select Other User Accounts towards the left.
    3. Select Add an      Account.
    4. Enter a user name      and hit Next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the      current Account and Log into the new account.
    7. Check if issue      persists.

Hope this information is helpful. Do let us know if you need any further assistance, we'll be glad to assist you.

That is not at all helpful.

I have Windows 10, Solitaire collection installed. I open the game up and it automatically closes.

In the previous post, you requested someone copy in the event log error which I did.
