Google Hangout for Windows Phone.

Hello Microsoft,

Recently I wrote to Google to provide Hangout app for Windows Phone. In reply they said that they are willing to provide Google Apps if device manufacturer are ready to collaborate with them in development process. Following text is copy of two paragraphs of their reply.

Unfortunately, when developing an app for a third party device we need the collaboration of the manufacturer.

Like in the case of Mac we worked side by side, also with Ubuntu and other Debian based Linux distributions.

Together we achieved the apps their users enjoy now, as well once the app is developed it needs to follow

the manufacturer's store approval like any other app developed for them. As you can see by visiting

In the case of Microsoft we are more than willing to develop the app, we would love to support that market

share which is vast increase potential customers to use their mobile devices.

With Microsoft we've achieved the use of hangouts through their Desktop environments so far. But, we need

you as their mobile customer to present the need of the use of Google Apps in their mobile phone's so they

can support the development of mobile apps on their devices. We want to serve you in whatever device you

choose to have, but this can only be accomplished through the device users to convince the device

manufacturer to collaborate to develop an app from us.

I would love to see Google apps on my windows phones. Could you please communicate with Google, to bring Hangout and other apps to Windows Phone.

    Hi, Issammr.essy. The Windows Phone Store serves as a marketplace of different applications from their respective manufacturers. The availability of applications that can be downloaded are still dependent on the application publishers. It is best to keep in touch with them for details.

    for my phone it work somewhat better i use only for messaging not for video chat .sorry if it is not good sugestion

    Dear Ramya sk

    Okay I will try to be factual and not irate or hateful.  This subject is close to my heart.

    Your "brilliant" suggestion was to goto www.gmail.com and then try to get to hangouts.

    So what I believe you mean is first tell the browser to be in Desktop and not mobile mode

    then to navigate to www.gmail.com

    then to look at the ridiculously tiny icons at bottom left one of which is hangouts

    By magnifying the screen I was able to get a hangouts window up

    This takes a few minutes already.

    I WAS able to send a short message in that open window, but its practically impossible

    I clicked on the camera icon to start a Voice conversation 

    I get the error/ help message that the Hangouts Plugin must be installed.

    CONCLUSIONS

    Your solution is unworkable and quite ridiculous even for messages

    I already have a working solution for Hangouts messages using the IM+ application.  This works after a fashion.

    And it also works for inbound messages.

    Your solution even if you pursued it would only work whilst the window was foreground.

    In the W10M programming model apps not in the foreground are SUSPENDED, and though some ways are possible to get suspended app to reply to background events this is not going to work with Webpages

    there is NO NO support for voice or video chats using your workaround

    I am a heavy user of G+ for sevices like hangouts chat text, for voice and video calls, also for Google G+ locations, and other Google services like maps.

    Whilst I appreciate this thread started with hangouts it's clear to me that in this instance Google is directly culpable for not providing these services.

    ALSO

    It's obvious that using alternate IM mechanisms like Skype only work if your targets also change to Skype, and they may elect not to do so.  So we are back to really wanting a native, full function client.

    one simple idea..all of you use Google  browser and get  into  g-mail account and then you can have Google hangouts in microsoft too.. i tried it guys
