I'm having problems with the KB3033929 update from the latest run of Tuesday patches. After installation the PC reboots, but during the boot up configuration of the patch it fails and Windows starts reverting the configuration and reboots. And then it starts all over again a couple of times until it eventually boot into Windows. I looked into Windows' setup logs and found the following:
So what is wrong?

I guess I am lucky that this update would not install. I have tried everything and still get the update failure
with error codeox8007371B. For now I will leave it hidden until this is resolved.
Update:
Could the computer already have something installed with a bad Signature that doesn't meet SHA-2 requirements?
thanks
I agree with Old_Ben. I am still waiting for Microsoft to fix this for all of us.
This problem affects both of my machines running Windows 7. but one is Windows 7 Starter x32, and the other is Windows 7 x64.
Three or four updates keep repeating on both machines even though they show as being fully installed. I have repeatedly run Windows Update Troubleshooter on both systems, but it cannot fully fix the problem. The update goes away for awhile, but returns the next day after a full shutdown.
I even did a full reinstall of my system yesterday to make sure I didn't have registry problems. What a waste of my time.
Secunia tells me I'm fully up to date right now, but by tomorrow morning I am sure it won't.
It feels like
Groundhog Day....

I do not believe this problem has anything to do with dual boot systems. After reading many forum complaints on the web, this problem is affecting machines in all types of configurations. Many have never had any dual boot system installed and are still affected by the update failure. The failure did not put mine into a loop but it did a revert and eventually booted back into Windows 7.
After trying numerous suggested fixes, I gave up and hid the update.
Still waiting for Microsoft to respond to the thousands of affected customers.
I just created this account so i could thank you for your hard work figuring this issue out.
This was the exact cause and solution to my problem with this update.
