Windows live writer wont connect to blogger

I have been using the windows live writer for years and today it wont let me post into my blogger blog. 

The first error was stating that my user name and password was incorrect so I changed it. It still didn't work and still stating the same issue. I clean/repaired up the windows essentials like other forms said. Now the error message I get is blogger return the following error: Notfound: not found. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it keeps saying the same issue.

please make sure that you use the following steps

  1. Verify you are using http or https for you website.
  2. Add ' @gmail.com ' at the end of your user name.
  3. If your account has 2-step verification enabled then see the following guide to use app specific password rather than your original password.

    Hello bloggers, 

    Today(21 Dec, 2015 7.00 PM EST) I tried the OLW recent release and I was able to sign in successfully. I then did a test post and it worked with no issues. I have window 10 on my pc where I installed the OLW.

    For people who are facing issues; the only issue I can guess is the Windows version. OLWwebsite has clearly mentioned that the OLW is currently supported for Windows10 only. So it might be the case that fellow bloggers facing problems are not on Windows 10.

    P.S. - Going forward if you guys are facing problem in OLW then it would be great you mention the Windows version on which you're trying to run the OLW. This will help identify the density of issues based on platform. 

    Update - I tried the same on Windows 7 machine. And as mentioned earlier working fine!! :)

    Okay, I will try updating the theme. I was afraid to let it do that because I do not use blogger themes as such. My background and banner are both from a third party (Cutest Blog on the Block). I'll try and see what happens. My Windows version is Windows 7.
