I have been using the windows live writer for years and today it wont let me post into my blogger blog.

The first error was stating that my user name and password was incorrect so I changed it. It still didn't work and still stating the same issue. I clean/repaired up the windows essentials like other forms said. Now the error message I get is blogger return the following error: Notfound: not found. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it keeps saying the same issue.

Thanks.

please make sure that you use the following steps

  1. Verify you are using http or https for you website.
  2. Add ' @gmail.com ' at the end of your user name.
  3. If your account has 2-step verification enabled then see the following guide to use app specific password rather than your original password.

Google says MS should update WLW and MS does not show interest.

    This is frustrating !!!

Several days I can not update my blog after relying on WLW for years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I am angry

At least MS should show some interest in WLW before dumping it !!

I have been working on this for 2 nights. Friends who blog are having the same problem. Microsoft said they could check it for me for $99, but I declined because I have a service working for me. This needs to be fixed.  On the 26th of this month Google changed their API log in protocols etc. Which has effectively killed off all 3rd party blogger software !!

Microsoft needs to update live Writer with the new settings to take this into account. We have all been unable to post to our blogs for several days.

So now they are charging simply to look into a problem with no guarantee they'll fix it? *smh* :(

Yes I agree Rick.  Neither Google nor Microsoft is treating their customers in a way any corporation who cared about them would.  If Lifewriter is, as everyone says, the best software for composing blogs in the WORLD then why is its company doing a stand off with the blogger platform and we are the ones paying the penalty.  This feels like high school **** to me.
