OK; I downloaded the newest update, and it solved the rejection/error problems.
I watched the little 'publishing' visual do it's thing. And when it was done, the new post was nowhere to be found on the blog. It seemed to have gone off to a black hole.
Until I went to the Blogger dashboard page and looked under posts. It was at the top of the list, with the word 'scheduled' to the right. In other words, it had been received, but not posted on the blog page itself.
I futzed around with the schedule issue and found the little box where you choose "automatic" instead of a time and date, and then it appeared.
In the process, the post lost the WYSIWYG formatting from OLW, and I had to add spaces here and there to have it look the way I intended.
We'll see if the next post, about to go up shortly, suffers the same 'scheduling' problem.
Tremendous progress has been made; and thanks again. I also need to figure out how to get the categories from my WLW days to come over to OLW, unless I have to enter them again.
Thanks, thanks, thanks for the dogged determination and continued efforts.
PS: I am leery of following the Microsoft pressure to 'upgrade' to Windows 10 in order to keep at this.
I am perfectly happy with Windows 7 Home Premium, and would not relish the idea of having to change O/S in two computers, especially with no insights and previews etc. What will it do to RAM use? I don't need touch screen, or any of that....
