Live Writer may be open sourced in the next few months, then it could be fixed, but if that happens, it won't be fast. Months.

I truly wish that Google and Microsoft would stop putting us, the users of their software, into this back and forth battle of wills. Obviously Google made a mistake with their login changes, just like they did with the bookmarks recently. Just turn back
the clock and leave things alone that aren't broken.
And obviously Microsoft is aware of this problem. So why is it that it hasn't been fixed on both sides of the problem. Make this software open source if that's the solution, we don't pay for the software anyway, so make it open source and move on. A win
win for everyone..
