I have been using the windows live writer for years and today it wont let me post into my blogger blog.
The first error was stating that my user name and password was incorrect so I changed it. It still didn't work and still stating the same issue. I clean/repaired up the windows essentials like other forms said. Now the error message I get is blogger return the following error: Notfound: not found. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it keeps saying the same issue.

What's OLW? And it's possivle publish to Blogger with Office 2016?
I find this every bit as frustrating but you know, in fairness both WLW and now OLW are free. And in the case of OLW it seems that a group of people, with experience, are attempting to create a version that will hopefully continue to be kept up, but is, again, free. No one made any promises about how long they would continue to function. For that matter blogger is free.
So my guess is we either quit blogging or do them online, which I hate.
OK; I'm at wit's end. This problem has existed since May of this year. Many fixes have been put forth, but have been to no avail for many of us.
I have used WLW for nearly 6 years with zero problems, until May. And I would like to continue using it. As I related in earlier posts, I was able to continue using it on one of our family computers, but not my laptop, which is used for 95% of computing operations.
That is until a few days ago. Now I cannot use WLW to post to Blogger on either computer.
Frankly, this sucks. Drafting posts via Blogger is not nearly as user friendly as WLW.
The recent posts re: OLW are appreciated, but are frankly not encouraging.
Now there is a flurry of new posts about more people having problems.
With all the geniuses and hackers we have in cyber-space today, I find it hard to believe that no one has been able to solve this.
There seems to be an understanding of who screwed things up and how; why is it we are not holding those responsible accountable for doing so? Or why aren't they stepping up and solving the problem they caused?
OWL isn't working with blogger either. Do they even know about that?

The reason it's not working is that a few years ago Google deprecated the authentication process that Live Writer uses, i.e. Google declared it as obsolete because it is not secure enough for the modern web, and developers should stop using it ASAP. Unfortunately Live Writer was not updated to use the new more secure OAuth 2 standard. Google removed support for it back in about May this year, then temporarily re-enabled it for Blogger / WLW, now it looks like they have pulled it for good.
It's not straightforward to fix, certainly more than a couple of lines of code. If you want to comment, please post to the GitHub issue via the link above, as that will be read by the developers. They will not generally be following the MS forums as it's no longer an MS product.
