I have been using the windows live writer for years and today it wont let me post into my blogger blog.

The first error was stating that my user name and password was incorrect so I changed it. It still didn't work and still stating the same issue. I clean/repaired up the windows essentials like other forms said. Now the error message I get is blogger return the following error: Notfound: not found. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it keeps saying the same issue.

Thanks.

please make sure that you use the following steps

  1. Verify you are using http or https for you website.
  2. Add ' @gmail.com ' at the end of your user name.
  3. If your account has 2-step verification enabled then see the following guide to use app specific password rather than your original password.

App specific password generation

OK; so here we go again.  Just wrote a new post, and tried to publish.

Got the "Can't publish files" message.  "Forbidden   403"

I wish this would stop messing with me.

Sadly, the honeymoon didn't last very long for me.

Drafted a lengthy post today and went to publish it and had problems.  Error messages, etc.

And then the look of my blog disappeared in the program, and the drafting page went 'generic.'

I uninstalled, redownloaded, and reinstalled, and could not get the OLW format to sync up with my blog.

When I went to edit the blog account, a lengthy hexadecimal string had replaced my user name.

I don't know what's going on, but I can't get back to where I was when I posted my thank you message.

Help!  This was a very short lived victory.

I had trouble with it posting to my blog. I reinstalled the Nightly version and then it worked just fine. I was able to download my theme, and a Category box appeared (it hadn't before). I think they are still working on it. Posts ok for me now.

Today is Monday the 21st, and problems continue.

What is so frustrating is that when I first downloaded OLW, and did the 'test post' as suggested, everything went fine; except the test post did not 'disappear' as was predicted.'

I haven't toyed with any google or blogger settings at all during this process, but now

It simple won't post; an error is returned.

OK, now things are getting bizarre.  I had put up the most recent post minutes ago using the blogger composition page.

So I went back to OLW to hit publish and see what the error language is so I could post it here.  And guess what....it went through the publish process with no error.

Could that be because blogger already recognized it from doing it on their page?

I'm lost.  Think I'll try another test post.

I just did, and it went through.  Along with a second copy of the earlier post today marked as 'scheduled.'

I'm really lost; hopefully work continues to 'tweak' these little bugs away.
