Windows live writer wont connect to blogger

I have been using the windows live writer for years and today it wont let me post into my blogger blog. 

The first error was stating that my user name and password was incorrect so I changed it. It still didn't work and still stating the same issue. I clean/repaired up the windows essentials like other forms said. Now the error message I get is blogger return the following error: Notfound: not found. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it keeps saying the same issue.

please make sure that you use the following steps

  1. Verify you are using http or https for you website.
  2. Add ' @gmail.com ' at the end of your user name.
  3. If your account has 2-step verification enabled then see the following guide to use app specific password rather than your original password.

    Just received this tidbit from one of my IT guys:

    So it would seem Google and Blogger teams are aware of the issue and are working to get it corrected.

    The problem is worse as I tried all other free blogging software and none of it work as it all uses the same login that has worked for years so no blogging software works not just Live Writer

    An FYI (Again) you can post to blogger using the (Blogger post client), I just posted a test message at my site and it went through fine. The Blogger post client is not as refined at WLW or other external blog software though. This all seems to stem from Google going to that 2 step log in process, that they implemented earlier in the week, with no advance warning to anyone. :-((((((((
