Windows live writer wont connect to blogger

I have been using the windows live writer for years and today it wont let me post into my blogger blog. 

The first error was stating that my user name and password was incorrect so I changed it. It still didn't work and still stating the same issue. I clean/repaired up the windows essentials like other forms said. Now the error message I get is blogger return the following error: Notfound: not found. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it keeps saying the same issue.

please make sure that you use the following steps

  1. Verify you are using http or https for you website.
  2. Add ' @gmail.com ' at the end of your user name.
  3. If your account has 2-step verification enabled then see the following guide to use app specific password rather than your original password.

    Well, according to Microsoft, all-systems are "running normally".  I don't think we're getting anywhere with the Microsofties.

    rick_rjd, tx for the post about Blogsy. I'm not an apple or ipad user as I have an android tablet and phone so really need either a Windows and /or android app, but good news for those of us who use those devices

    Microsoft should change their text about Writer: "Writer works with many popular blog service providers such as WordPress, Blogger, and TypePad."

    The only correct solution from MS side would be to release a hotfix for WLW 2012, I can be a BETA tester!!

    or

    Blogger/Google should make a rollback until Microsoft has released the Hotfix..

    Live Writer may be open sourced in the next few months, then it could be fixed, but if that happens, it won't be fast. Months.

    That said, Google may have said they'll fix it on their side (given that they broke it, that makes sense) https://plus.google.com/u/0/+RickDoyle/posts/GUPJcu5sZHo

    I truly wish that Google and Microsoft would stop putting us, the users of their software, into this back and forth battle of wills. Obviously Google made a mistake with their login changes, just like they did with the bookmarks recently. Just turn back the clock and leave things alone that aren't broken.

    And obviously Microsoft is aware of this problem. So why is it that it hasn't been fixed on both sides of the problem. Make this software open source if that's the solution, we don't pay for the software anyway, so make it open source and move on.  A win win for everyone..
