'Battery Alert' appears before the 'press 'ESC' key for Start-up menu.', however, ' Cooling Fan Alert' appears after 'press 'ESC' key for Start-up menu.'

Hi,

First of all: I know that I have been having a problem with my HP Laptop Battery, and with its cooling Fan.

However, I am now wondering what detected this error below as long as it was shown even before  the notification saying 'the press 'ESC' key for Start-up menu.' Thus, if the BIOS detected that there was a problem with the HP Battery storage', then this error should have been listed after 'press 'ESC' key for Start-up menu.' was passed.

'HP Battery Alert:    The system has detected the storage capacity of the battery stated below to be very low. For optimal performance, this battery may need to be replaced.'

That alert lasted about 15 seconds, and then the 'press 'press 'ESC' key for Start-up menu.' is shown.

Next: This is error below showed me::

'The system didn't detect that a cooling fan is operating correctly'

I know that BIOS detected that a problem with 'Cooling Fan' since the Alert of error was shown after passing 'press 'ESC' key for Start-up menu.'

Any comments would be highly appreciated

    Since you have no control over what happens, I can only conclude that the overheating has caused damage to your processor or other issues such as corruption of Windows.

    Must be at least 90% or better alcohol content. Lower than 90% means it may have too much water in it and will not dry quickly or properly.

    Hi again,

    I finally manged to  purchase a new fan/heat sink from the US online,  and shipped it to KSA, then to Yemen.

    However, now I don't have ISO alcohol. Also, I have not tried to purchased the two ISO alcohol from the US since I was afraid that even the fan/heat sink wouldn't be shipped. But I only tried as a test.

    So, if I used the "surgical spirit" since this is the only thing found in Yemen, although I didn't see any alcohol  in the specification typed the cover of its bottle.

    My questions are:

    1- what would be happening if there is too much water in the alcohol content used on CPU and GPU to remove the remains of old thermal compound(I.e. if I tried to clean the old thermal compound with the "surgical spirit", what is the worst would be happening?)  

    2- I read that "The United States Pharmacopeia defined 'isopropyl rubbing alcohol USP' contains approximately 70 percent by volume of pure isopropyl alcohol.[5] The United States Pharmacopeia defined 'rubbing alcohol USP' contains approximately 70 percent by volume of denatured alcohol.[6] In Ireland and the UK, the comparable preparation is surgical spirit B.P., which the British Pharmacopoeia defines as 95% methylated spirit, 2.5% castor oil, 2% diethyl phthalate, and 0.5% methyl salicylate"

    3- I didn't find  Thermaltake TG4 in my own country.  ALL Thermal Compound solutions available in Yemen are like the one 'ZP-360' I have used before . So, if I applied the same thermal compound with the same way you mentioned previously ( 1 small bead in the center with 4 small beads in a square about half way to each edge of the CPU. )

    The worst that could happen is that the new thermal compound would not be as effective and the CPU / GPU would run too hot.

    The lower alcohol level (70 percent) and higher water content (30 percent) would require more effort to remove the old thermal compound, try cleaning it a second time to be sure all the old compound is removed.

    Also because there is more water (30 percent) it will take longer for the CPU surface to become completely dry.It must be completely dry before you apply the thermal compound.

    Note: The alcohol will evaporate and dry quickly, water takes a longer time to evaporate and dry.

    1- As log as the alcohol will evaporate and dry quickly, water takes a longer time to evaporate and dry, I can use any alcohol some people use for drink?

    2- I should apply 4 small beads on the half way of each edge as in the screen shot below:(what you mean with  'a square' in  'about half way to each edge'?

    3- I don't need to  roll  the thermal compound beads onto the surface of CPU to be smother?

    4- In my case, GPU is surrounded by pads, so I will only apply one bead of thermal compound of the center of GPU?

    5- how big is each bead of thermal compound?
