Sync Center is still there in Windows 10 (Windows key + X > click Control Panel)
Windows Mobile Device Center Compatibility with Windows 10
Is or will Windows Mobile Device Center be compatible with Windows 10? There are some legacy devices that require sync with WMDC and then there are security personnel that do not allow devices to connect to their Wi-Fi but rather connect them via USB using WMDC. I was able to get WMDC to work successfully on Windows 8 and 8.1. So far I have not heard any news in regards to Windows 10. Looking forward to hearing results and or news regarding this. Thx everyone.

2017-12-20T21:45:07+00:00 But where is it now? I just installed the latest Windows 10 updates, 1709 KB4058043, and am no longer able to sync with my devices...
I have had my machine rebased by Microsoft twice now and for a bit as you say the Windows Mobile Device 6.1 or 6.5 or whatever version I have worked. I was able to sync documents but no way could I synch the calendar and my contacts. It would be nice if Microsoft would make this work permanently for those of us who have these devices and don't need to upgrade to the latest and greatest techy toy because these mobile devices work and suit our needs just perfectly. Microsoft please hear our cry for a permanent fix!!!!!

2018-01-20T00:43:39+00:00 Since the people who work/support for Microsoft are to ignorant to figure it out the first suggestion worked for me after a clean install.
Here is the most current suggest workflows to fix the Windows 10 and Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) Connection Issues
New Windows 10 machine
- Install the latest 1709 update from Microsoft
- Plug in the Windows Mobile Device (Geos, TCS3, etc)
- Let it install the drivers and WMDC
- If the device will not connect, then run this Registry exe as an Admin
- If that doesn’t work, then try this suggestions https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/93efdeb2-b417-476a-9252-689375163c4d/unable-to-install-windows-mobile-device-center-on-windows-10-v-1709?forum=windowsmobiledev
Windows 10 with existing installation of WMDC
- Uninstall Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC)
- Install the latest 1709 update from Microsoft
- Plug in the Windows Mobile Device (Geos, TCS3, etc)
- Let it install the drivers and WMDC
- If the device will not connect, then run this Registry exe as an Admin

2018-01-20T05:55:13+00:00 My device connects OK. I can see files on it. I can sync documents. But, most importantly, I cannot sync Outlook contacts or calendar. Microsoft doesn't talk to Microsoft and Sync Centre doesn't!!! We are obviously a very small percentage of Microsoft customers and don't generate loads of revenue therefore we don't matter.
