Sync Center is still there in Windows 10 (Windows key + X > click Control Panel)
Windows Mobile Device Center Compatibility with Windows 10
Is or will Windows Mobile Device Center be compatible with Windows 10? There are some legacy devices that require sync with WMDC and then there are security personnel that do not allow devices to connect to their Wi-Fi but rather connect them via USB using WMDC. I was able to get WMDC to work successfully on Windows 8 and 8.1. So far I have not heard any news in regards to Windows 10. Looking forward to hearing results and or news regarding this. Thx everyone.

2016-06-01T01:09:21+00:00 Had similar problem after Win 10 update. Resolved by switching sync mode on HP PDA from RNDIS Sync Mode to USB Serial Sync Mode. PDA will sync with both 32 & 64 bit Win 10 and WMDC.

2016-06-01T15:26:40+00:00 Hi William
Thanks. My PDA has always been set to USB serial. Out of interest what version of Outlook are you using? I am using 2007. Don't know if the version of outlook may make a difference.

2016-06-08T07:41:33+00:00 This one solved it for me with a Motorola MC45 and Windows Embedded / WM6.5
Well i followed all the other posts in this thread, namely
- turn on .net3.5 feature (brand new Win10 install)
- un-installed WMDC that was installed when I connected the device
- downloaded the 64bit Vista install for WMDC
- before running drvupdate-amd64, i changed it's compatability mode to Vista (SP2)
- changed the device from RNDIS to USB Serial
It was only after this last step that I now have a "Portable Devices" node in Device Manager, so was probably this last step that actually made the difference.
However i noticed that when I installed drvupdate-amd64 in my programs list I get both
- WMDC Driver Update
- WMDC
whilst when I let windows install the drivers after first connecting the device, it didnt install the WMDC Driver Update, so perhaps that's a difference as well.

2016-08-04T18:27:08+00:00 Hallo Andre,
you are right, the Sync Center is on place, but this is not enough for some older mobil devices.
Allready under w7 it was necessary to load specially drivers and this procedure starts only at Installation the good old mobile device Center.
The question is: this is runnung under w10?
At my Computer without succes!
Best regards, Wolfhardt
