Windows Mobile Device Center Compatibility with Windows 10

Is or will Windows Mobile Device Center be compatible with Windows 10?  There are some legacy devices that require sync with WMDC and then there are security personnel that do not allow devices to connect to their Wi-Fi but rather connect them via USB using WMDC.  I was able to get WMDC to work successfully on Windows 8 and 8.1.  So far I have not heard any news in regards to Windows 10.  Looking forward to hearing results and or news regarding this.  Thx everyone.

On February 10 2016 I could sync my HP PDA without any problems.

After installing the latest Windows 10 updates on March 13 2016 syncing the PDA fails.

Nothing besides the updates to Win 10 had been changed in the interim as I was away and both devices were switched off.

    Hi,

I had the same problem and posted on another place.

This was answer that I got from Microsoft person (I guess).

You can try as this suggestion.

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/cant-re-install-windows-mobile-device-center/fbe4fef1-f99f-4434-aec0-108f11040c7e?msgId=38bb436c-475d-466f-8f11-2732bd3e1304

To me, his suggestion didn't work. I just change my windows 10 to the previous build. Then, everything came back to normal. (I also had many issues with that particular update.)

    Good luck!

    Hi Jun

    Thanks for your reply.

I find it very odd that the answer you got from the Microsoft Support Engineer in the other thread made no mention of informing the build team of your solution.  I should imagine that future builds will incorporate the erroneous code that is in the latest build.

Sayan's reply implies that all is well with the build which is obviously not the case.

    Cheers

This unchecking of that box worked for me as well.
