Is or will Windows Mobile Device Center be compatible with Windows 10? There are some legacy devices that require sync with WMDC and then there are security personnel that do not allow devices to connect to their Wi-Fi but rather connect them via USB using WMDC. I was able to get WMDC to work successfully on Windows 8 and 8.1. So far I have not heard any news in regards to Windows 10. Looking forward to hearing results and or news regarding this. Thx everyone.

2015-08-07T15:48:41+00:00 I did find one way to get the devices to connect in wmdc on win 10. If i uncheck advanced network functionality on the pda under usb settings it will connect but when our users try to use the data connection for a download (the reason we use wmdc) the download hangs after a few seconds and then wmdc either crashes or loses the connection. So far we are unable to find any solution that works. The bad thing is almost all of our users are on win 7 or 8.1 so they will be upgrading soon through automatic updates and they will have no way to use the pdas once that happens. we have a userbase of about 100 pdas so this is going to be a nightmare.

2015-08-23T11:28:05+00:00 I just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 professional. I am using the Windows Mobile Device Center with the latest update driver of 6.1ish. I have tried to sync my device 4 times this morning and it keeps failing. Is there an update or how to I get it to work? My device is an Ipaq RX4240. It is my life line to keeping track of all sorts of appointments and my electronic address/e-mail book which I sync to my desktop computer for Outlook 2013. Please direct me to a solution.

2015-09-05T11:56:02+00:00 Tried this but the sync centre only responded with no devices found no matter which procedure I tried, including set up new sync. My Ipod shows up in the file manager displays as a IPod but nothing I do from the multidure of suggestions enables the laptop to see any further into the IPod.
A straight forward answer the following please: Do I need ITunes or similar App on my windows 10 laptop to be eable to read and transfer files from a Ï device. If this is a requirement why can someone in Microsoft make it plain enough that I need to download ITunes?????
