Sync Center is still there in Windows 10 (Windows key + X > click Control Panel)
Windows Mobile Device Center Compatibility with Windows 10
Is or will Windows Mobile Device Center be compatible with Windows 10? There are some legacy devices that require sync with WMDC and then there are security personnel that do not allow devices to connect to their Wi-Fi but rather connect them via USB using WMDC. I was able to get WMDC to work successfully on Windows 8 and 8.1. So far I have not heard any news in regards to Windows 10. Looking forward to hearing results and or news regarding this. Thx everyone.

2016-05-09T19:25:35+00:00 OK. I thought I would try something else.
Under Programs and Features, I went to Windows Mobile Device Centre. Instead of uninstalling, I selected the Repair option.
I then did a restart.
Win10 Device Manager now detects my HP device properly and WMDC "Connects" and "Sync" can be performed as before.
Maybe worth others giving this a try, as it is very quick and simple to do.

2016-05-09T18:58:23+00:00 I thought I had re-sync'd my PDA since Win10 big update, but today I can hear all the right noises when I plug in via USB but WMDC just comes up as Error.
In Device Manager under the HP Device I see Yellow warning triangle and for properties I see:
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API."
