Is or will Windows Mobile Device Center be compatible with Windows 10? There are some legacy devices that require sync with WMDC and then there are security personnel that do not allow devices to connect to their Wi-Fi but rather connect them via USB using WMDC. I was able to get WMDC to work successfully on Windows 8 and 8.1. So far I have not heard any news in regards to Windows 10. Looking forward to hearing results and or news regarding this. Thx everyone.

2018-01-20T14:39:10+00:00 What a useless tech! Have you tried to sync Outlook contacts & calendar on an android smart phone. For my Sony Xperia AX1 Ultra as far as I can work out I have to purchase a third party app.

2018-01-20T13:23:23+00:00 Amen to that! I can't even synch the documents anymore after Microsoft had to reinstall my Windows 10 Operating system. You are correct, they could care less about us small users with these devices that perfectly fit our needs. At the Microsoft Store the Tech had the audacity to tell me I should have all phone numbers, addresses and email addresses from my outlook address books on my smartphone! Really??? Once upon a time I was able to sync the documents now THAT doesn't even happen. The Mobile Device Center spins and spins and won't open. Am going to try Kevin M's solution and see where it takes me. I am hoping it then syncs the calendar and contacts. What a pain -- have to make sure when I update Outlook address books that I manually update by HP Ipaq!

2018-01-20T05:55:13+00:00 My device connects OK. I can see files on it. I can sync documents. But, most importantly, I cannot sync Outlook contacts or calendar. Microsoft doesn't talk to Microsoft and Sync Centre doesn't!!! We are obviously a very small percentage of Microsoft customers and don't generate loads of revenue therefore we don't matter.

Here is the most current suggest workflows to fix the Windows 10 and Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) Connection Issues
New Windows 10 machine
- Install the latest 1709 update from Microsoft
- Plug in the Windows Mobile Device (Geos, TCS3, etc)
- Let it install the drivers and WMDC
- If the device will not connect, then run this Registry exe as an Admin
