Is or will Windows Mobile Device Center be compatible with Windows 10? There are some legacy devices that require sync with WMDC and then there are security personnel that do not allow devices to connect to their Wi-Fi but rather connect them via USB using WMDC. I was able to get WMDC to work successfully on Windows 8 and 8.1. So far I have not heard any news in regards to Windows 10. Looking forward to hearing results and or news regarding this. Thx everyone.

Unfortunately, this is now out-of-date. Latest windows 10 updates have removed control panel from easy access, no longer available with Win key +X. Can still find it using search facility, but Sync centre is no longer listed.
The only way I have been able to access Sync Centre is via Admin Command prompt, running mobsync.exe but this is no help as the sync centre appears on screen, but is completely inactive, has no partnership listed and does not recognise the device I have attached (via USB).
It appears that Microsoft has decided to remove this sync feature from Win 10 - is this correct?

2018-03-26T12:15:23+00:00 I had the same problem, I updated the computers with Windows 10 and this stopped working Windows Mobile Center. but searching the web a bit I found the WMDC-Helper.exe program at http://www.junipersys.com/Juniper-Systems-Rugged-Handheld-Computers/support/Knowledge-Base/Support-Knowledge-Base-Topics/ Desktop-Connection-ActiveSync-or-Windows-Mobile-Device-Center / WMDC-in-Windows-10 and returned to work the program without problems which was great relief because in the company it is of vital importance the use of it. I use it for my Trimble TSCe TAB for GPS. first --- install WMDC as windows vista SP2 compatibility, then install WMDC-helper as administrator, once done, just restart your PC and enjoy. Thanks to Mario Vega Cervantes for the post.
The WMDC-Helper.exe was the solution for us. We had 3 machines Lenovo Yoga 910 that we recently purchased and up until this had been unsuccessful to get any WM device to be visible thru WMDC. We had tried everything prior to this post without any success.

2018-03-25T16:44:30+00:00 The answer is in this post, to help you your find the answer. Your Windows 10 computer probably updated to Win10 1709 creators edition. It requires quite a bit of work with no guarantee the next creator's edition will not break it. Look for answers after the date of 09/01/17. Just be aware even after you follow the instructions you may need to reboot both your PC and Device every time you cradle it.
