Nokia PC Suite does not work on Windows 10

Hi,

i have a cellphone  Nokia 6300 and Nokia PC Suite does not work on Windows 10 32-bit.

When i connect cellphone and PC via USB cable,PC doesn't recognize it at all.

From another side,PC Suite works fine on Windows 7 32-bit.

PC Suite version is 7.1.180.94. I have tried another version too ( 3.8.54 ) but it's the same thing.

Use Mass memory or Media transfer mode instead of the default Nokia Suite USB mode. Change the mode in the phone menu Settings > Connectivity > USB. This will let you copy files between the phone and Windows 10.

If you want to sync data to Nokia Suite, try connecting the phone and Windows 10 via the Bluetooth connection instead of USB (if Bluetooth is supported by your PC). If the Bluetooth connection is properly established, you can use it for connecting and syncing your phone with Nokia Suite.

    Will Nokia PC Suite download to Windows 10?  All the downloads I find online say OS needs to be Windows 8.  Can someone provide a legitimate link to download a version that will "take" on a Windows 10 computer?

    Whilst this solution allows transfer of files etc. it does not allow a full Nokia Suite connection as whilst connection is possible using Bluetooth one cannot load software or bulk maps  etc. this way.

    The actual solution is to disable the phone as a modem in W10 device manager [in two places].

    The work around was reported quite soon after W10 was released (involves disabling the phone as a modem in W10) then it will hook up by USB as well as Bluetooth.

    Nothing however will bring back Skype, which Microsoft disabled on legacy Nokia phones in December 2014 after acquiring both Nokia and Skype.  Ironically it still works on Android phones!
