KB3035583 Installing Windows 10 using Windows Update?

Would you please tell me how to prevent the installation of KB3035583 in my computer and if it is already installed, how to remove it?  Also, are there other updates that we need to be concerned about that enable this behaviour?

KB3035583 now appears as an Important update in Windows Update and is checked which means it will be automatically installed if the user does not uncheck it.  If automatic update is set, it will install without intervention.

There are credible articles that say that Microsoft either has installed or will install changes to my computer that will enable Microsoft to use it as an advertising platform and then install Windows 10 without first obtaining an informed decision to do so.  I truly hope this is not true.

On behalf of my clients and their 162 Windows "consumer" computers, I must tell you that we do not grant Microsoft or any other vendor the right to do this.  When other Windows players do this, we regard it as malware and take great care to remove it.

Microsoft got to where it is today by selling Windows.  We have spent decades learning how to use Windows and billions of dollars buying Windows computers and Windows software.  We own these systems.  They are ours, not Microsoft's.

Windows Update has earned a huge trust.  We trust Microsoft to use Windows Update to keep our computers safe and secure.  When Patch Tuesday comes along we install all the updates that Microsoft says are "important." We assume those to be either plugging a security leak or fixing a software error.

We all hope Windows 10 will be something we will want.  We will carefully review and consult trusted advisors before we install Windows 10.  We have seen Windows 8 and rejected it.  Windows 8 is a bad product we did not choose.  

Automatically installing Windows 10 on our computers would be a severe abuse of a well-earned trust.  Changing our computers to enable them to become advertising platforms is also an abuse.

    FIRST:  STOP YELLING AT ME. Turn off the caps lock..

    Second:  Any one with any real experience in Windows will tell you that "upgrading" an operating system is a very bad idea.  The only way to change operating systems is to clear the hard drive and do a clean install.  So, search the Microsoft website and find the download of Windows 10 in the form of an ISO file.  Burn a DVD with it and then initiate the install using the "clean" approach.

    Third:    Windows 10 is a disaster looking for a place to happen. Not a single one of my 150 clients will allow it to happen to their computers.  Why would you want to do this to yourself?  I can understand why and how someone could get tricked into this by M$ unethical trickery.  But mostly people work at preventing this.  I advise you to take a close look at it at some WorstBuy store before making this leap.

    I HAVE TRIED TO DOWNLOAD WINDOWS 10  FOUR (4X) ALREADY and ONLY ONCE did it start but then when it Reached 92 % iT REMOVED IT AND RESTORED THE PREVIOUS VERSION WINDOWS 7 !

    I turned off the 'auto update' and it works for me. If the Update is important? Then do the research to make sure you need it. If they are going to stop all updates for Windows 7.. whats the use of getting the Updates for a different type of windows. Otherwise I can say you can also take them out of your computer by way of the ~Search programs and files~ by starting at "CMD" you will get the black box to start out. This is a bit different and if you are 'Savy to the Commands?', I have to say it is also easy.. but it does take those files out of the system and leave you free knowing the change will never come when you dont want it. You have to realize.. Not a lot of people will do this, but if you need.. then go for it and see if it does work for you. As for me.. I am happy the way my Computer is and no threat of some change to it without my consent. Hope you find a way to delete the files which are here for you to see if you already have the Automatic upgrade you let Microsoft put into your computer by way of the so-called 'Updates'.

    It should not re-install automatically unless you have selected Install updates automatically.

    For those who do not want Windows 10 nagware or other MS spyware, the recommended setting is either Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them or, for the greatest control, Never check for updates. If the latter, you should periodically check for updates manually, and in either case, install security updates but pick and choose non-security updates you want (if any).

    You can block updates you do not want from re-appearing (at least until they are re-issued), by right-clicking the update and selecting the Hide option.

    Several folks here have also suggested making sure that Give me recommended updates the same way I receive imprtant updates is not checked, which will reduce the number of non-security updates that appear as "important".

    Caveat emptor.

    You are making look so easy and it is done. That is absolute incorrect. You don't uninstall for uninstall sake, you uninstall for purpose the resolves a problem. For the Windows update patch that set to inform and install Windows 10 which is KB3035583, after you uninstall it, it re-installs with the next windows update, perhaps the same day you uninstalled it. So, uninstalled is necessarily the solution. You may try to block windows update which would affect other necessary updates.

    I am looking for a real solution not irrelevant one.
