This Help hub page serves as a means for the MSN Weather Engineering team to also interact with our end users on issues they are encountering with the Apps and the Weather site on www.msn.com in addition to also communicating known issues.

Are you seeing inaccurate weather conditions in the MSN Weather App?

The MSN Weather team has received feedback from users of our Apps Windows & Windows Phone platform as well as the MSN Weather website  about inaccurate weather conditions being reported ranging from Incorrect location detection (Home or Current), Inaccurate Current conditions (precipitation, temperature, wind etc.) or Forecast issues. Thanks for the feedback - we appreciate it very much. We are working to improve the quality of the app from a functionality and data perspective.

This discussion forum has been created to enable two-way communication between the MSN Weather team and users of the MSN Weather app (Windows, Windows Phone) around data quality issues users are experiencing with the app. When reporting issues, please be sure to provide us details that will help us diagnose issues faster such as:

  • User's Location (Current or Home)
  • Date of the Weather data anomaly.
  • Type of data issue - current conditions (temp, precipitation, wind) or forecast conditions
  • Version of OS (Windows, WP) on your device
  • Version of the app currently installed on the device

    SO I HAVE MSN and DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS IS ,and when I READ "weather widget"

    IT IS where you are lurking" and scarring the begeebers  out of me,AND RUIENING MY DAYS to waste BECAUSE MICROSOFT"MSN"WINDowS and APPLICA cable 1st second third partied are enabled users?

    and HAVE MORE USE of my devices than ME?

    and enable the store to have me not report the lies and ABUSE embarrassments and my inabilty to use your devices/ because tTHEY DO NOT WORK? THAT MSN is that?

    windows does this MICROSOFT ALLOws That anD this?

    I have no RIGHTS in MY OWN HOME

    they have BANNED ME because they are not GOOD, with their LIES..

    i have been victamized ,vandalized by ms- ms employees,and have been told money was being returned

    do not support despit i paid for complete and office and support 1on1

    its a facccade for me

    And in most parts of central suburbs of Mumbai location is not working This is the error shown at Location Mulund West, Mumbai. Most of the time this location is shown as Thane.Please fix it

    Thank you, I was confused and was thinking I might need to reinstall. Thought it was some issue with app permissions.

    Now just have to wait till they fix this.

    I visited Santa Clarita, CA last week. Upon returning home yesterday, my app still thinks I'm in Santa Clarita, though the app is set on "current location." I've tried forcing it to pick up the new location by switching it from home to current, but it wont budge. After I leave the app and return to it, I'm back to Santa Clarita again! (in the app and on the live tile). I'm running windows 8.1 on a Lumia 735 from Verizon.

    I would really prefer to use the Microsoft app, but I need it to work!
