I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade to Windows10.  The main use for this computer, is sewing/embroidery software, 4D Embroidery.  Is W 10 going to run that software satisfactorily?

I will not revert back to my Windows 7 . . . will keep trying as I have a couple of friends who have basically the same machine and they are using just the File Assistant component and they are able to use their USB cables.  We all use Embird for designing to do not necessarily need all the programs.

If I have to I will try loading all programs onto my desktop which still has Windows 7.

    Thank you for you reply,

I had to go back to windows 8 ,32-bit

I didnt get drive unavailable anymore.

Now it states deleting all from programmable d-card ...writing to d-card, the light blinks on card reader.

the machine doesnt see the file on the card reader. I inserted a card that already has files and it worked.

I need to find a viking read write programmable card.

    It isnt supported any more

This definitely worked for the HASP, however my problem is that the my laptop will not recognize the Pfaff 2144 USB Cable.  It states "Drive is unavailable" so I have no way of transferring embroidery files to my Pfaff .

    Can anybody help with this.

    Hi Julia,

The problem of using 4D with Win10 is related to the dongle (HASP) driver. The Embroidery program is OK.

If you update the drivers as detailed in my previous post then you should have no further issues.

    Good luck

    Tony H

    I have tried 4D 5D and 6D without success. I have a Husqvarna Viking 955E platinum.

My laptop quit I got a new one that has Windows 10.

I wont buy Premium+ software until I get Husqvarna to supply all downloads to try.

If you find something that works please share with me.

    Julia
