OK so now I have Windows 10. I have regular old Solitaire on all my devices. I would like to get it on my computer. Not fancy Solitaire games like Klondike,Spider, Free cell. Just the old regular Solitaire game. Can I do that?

Why don't you pass this on????   You work for Microsoft.

We go around and around in circles.  I started off trying report this matter and was directed to this forum.

There is surely enough dissatisfaction to warrant a direct response, and action by Microsoft.   It is not rocket science!

    I have a question.

I copied the old sol.exe from my old pc. However it is asking for card.dll. I did a search on the old computer and I can not find it. What is this?

I am very sorry I installed Window10 for a number of reason, this included. Just so you know, I am learning on my own accord.

.dll files are Windows System dependency files that are needed to enable some programs to run.  You can usually only see them if you choose the option to "show hidden files" in Windows.

Thank you very much. I guess my idea of copying the .exe was useless. Therefore I am off to the store and will buy the game want. I am sick of the online solitaire games. After a couple of hands they break in with an ad.

    Take Care and thanks again.

You could buy the ad-free version from the Microsoft Store. Microsoft Solitaire has been gone since Windows 8.1 came out. It was not pulled via Windows 10.

The Microsoft Solitaire Collection provides some outstanding solitaire games. But there are more "basic" versions in the store too.

Try Simple Solitaire which is free and has no ads.

(Well, no overly OBTRUSIVE ads...less distracting than what they stick us with in Outlook Mail, anyway).

It's pretty much the same solitaire game you used to have.

I do not like not having Solitaire on my desk top.

I could go back and forth anytime I wanted. Now, I have to sign in to use it?

    What a disappointment windows 10!
