Solitaire on Windows 10

Sorry, Santosh.  I don't have X Box, and I am never likely to have X Box. 

Why can't the traditional version of Solitaire be included in the Windows 10 software?

If it's not broke, don't fix it!

I cannot abide the amateurish and garish graphics on the cards (for one)..... and there are many other issues.

Please fix it.

Would y'all believe that Microsoft Solitaire Collection is a part of Microsoft's Xbox brand?  Yes, really.  Microsoft want all games, including those that run counter to the prevailing gaming culture, under the same brand.  That's why they want to punt support away from main OS support despite being part of the OS installation and out-of-box experience.  Talk about brand confusion.

And to make it Web ad-plastered trialware in the OS out-of-box experience, too.  It's like playing while the ghost of Billy Mays heckles you.  Who at Microsoft thought that was a good idea?

Despite living in Cleckheaton, the home of the Luddites, I don't have a phobia of new technology. I do. however, hate the changes built into new operating systems that seem to make ne spend hours trying to get back to what I was perfectly happy with before

• like Spider Solitaire, which was my regular distraction. I'm going back to Windows 7 if that is 'allowed' because I have lost my favourites and don't like Boing or whatever.

Most of us don't use Xbox....

This is an out-of-box experience (OOBE) issue with Microsoft Windows 10, and the fact that Microsoft Solitaire Collection is a part of the Xbox brand is completely irrelevant to this issue.  You (Microsoft) are doing nothing short of harming the Xbox brand by having this new adware solitaire as part of the Windows OOBE, and you are doing nothing short of harming the Windows brand by punting support for a Windows OOBE application to a non-Windows department.

This issue is on par with your inclusion of Candy Crush in the insider preview OOBEs in terms of severity of reception.

These are the solutions I think you can do:

• Remove all advertisements from Microsoft Solitaire Collection, doing away with the need for a premium subscription to remove the ads, and ensure the ad-free app is pushed to all genuine Windows 10 systems, including those without a Microsoft Account.  (Recommended)
• Port the Windows 7 games collection to Windows 10 and make it available as a built-in Windows feature, optional or otherwise.
• Port the games from Windows XP to Windows 10 and make them available the same way.
• Do as you did for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1: Remove all games from new Windows 10 installations.  (Not recommended)
