Thanks, Kerry for posting this. I was able to search msgames_win8_x64.msi and download all the games, which INCLUDES Solitaire. I think the point MS seems to be missing is this: There are many things on a computer that many of us consider personal and should not be tampered with. It is tantamount to theft!
When you hire someone to paint the rooms in your house, you do expect to come home and enjoy the fresh new look, but you also have every right to expect the painters not to throw two or three of your favorite paintings in the garbage!
Your analogy fails because you don't own the operating system. If you were renting an apartment and if the landlord painted it and removed pictures from the wall that belonged to him, all in accordance with the terms of the lease you signed, you couldn't very well consider it "tantamount to theft." You have a license to use the OS in accordance with the terms of the EULA.
